Sustainable Water Solutions

As the requirement for compulsory retrofitting for meters across the country gathers pace, occupants on low incomes risk being dragged into water poverty as well as fuel poverty. There is a need to understand the best way to support occupants by incorporating water efficiency measures into existing stock as well as new build stock. At the same time, the prospect of dryer summers and wetter winters means that we need to consider how to future proof buildings by implementing sustainable water solutions and working with the occupants to initiate behaviour change.

This interactive workshop will enable delegates to gain an in-depth understanding:

  • The best sustainable water solutions both for new build and existing properties

  • Flats as well as houses to make the links between water consumption and CO2 emissions

  • To understand the maintenance required for different sustainable water solutions

  • To realise the importance of measuring for, and fixing underground leakage to reduce occupants’ bills

  • How we can inspire and help change people’s awareness of becoming more water aware and the role of behaviour change

The Training Programme is run by our Sustainable Water Consultant, who has over 12 years of experience of designing and implementing sustainable water strategies within both the public and private sectors.
